By far the best way to explain this technique is to show you some images. The first image, (top left) is a single capture any camera would take at the correct exposure for the decking, wall and furniture. However with a single image detail is lost in the sky, (the high lights) and the shadows, (the low lights). By capturing the same image at different exposures and combining the best bits from them all you end up with a brilliant image and one which better represents what a human eye really sees, vital for effective property and product marketing.

I think you will agree the finished image to the left is awesome.

The decking, wall and furniture are the main aspects of the property but then so is the view from the property which until now with a single image had to be a compromise with a massive loss of detail somewhere.

Detail in this final picture is obtained from all the best bits of exposures from right across the image from the shadow area of the wicker chair to the brightest bit of blue sky.
